Each half of this concert will kick off with a true treat: an overture from an unfamiliar opera. The composers themselves, however, will be more familiar: the lives of the unique pair of siblings Joseph and Michael Haydn provides convincing proof that sometimes the stork brings two geniuses to a single family. The third composer enjoyed a cordial relationship with both of them: from him – him being Mozart – we will hear two well-known masterpieces on an evening that is also diverse in terms of genre.
